Sessions & events

After the debug view confirms the install, Analytics > Sessions & events becomes the everyday workspace for understanding what users actually did.

Overview

The page combines quick metrics and detailed explorers.

You can use it to see:

  • total event rows
  • total sessions
  • pageview rows
  • custom track events
  • top pageview paths
  • event counts by name

It is designed for fast inspection rather than heavyweight reporting.

Filters

Tiny lets you narrow the dataset without leaving the page.

Available filters include:

  • source
  • event type
  • event name
  • path
  • date range

If your workspace still has older unassigned data, Tiny can also surface Unassigned legacy events separately from named sources.

Events explorer

The events explorer is the best place to inspect individual rows.

Each event row shows:

  • timestamp
  • event name
  • event type
  • path
  • source
  • session identifier

Rows with captured UI payload data can be expanded so you can inspect the JSON that was stored for that event.

Session list

The recent sessions table helps you connect event traffic to a broader browsing session.

For each session, Tiny shows:

  • last seen time
  • source
  • visitor identifier
  • browser, OS, and device type when available
  • landing path

That makes it easy to verify that a source is sending traffic from the environment you expected.

When to use it

Use Sessions & events when you want to:

  • confirm that a source is still active after setup
  • inspect which paths are receiving traffic
  • search for a particular event name
  • compare sources inside the same workspace
  • spot-check the effect of a new tracking call before building a fuller report
