Access & workspaces

Tiny Analytics keeps access management inside the product so teams can install, verify, inspect, and administer analytics without losing track of who can do what.

Team

Open Access > Team to manage workspace members.

That screen supports:

  • inviting teammates
  • viewing members in table or card layouts
  • searching by email or name
  • opening a team member detail view when you need to inspect their access

If a user is not already present in the auth system, the invite flow returns user_not_found.

Workspaces

Open Access > Workspaces to manage the workspaces you belong to.

From there you can:

  • create a workspace
  • rename an existing workspace
  • switch the active workspace used by the rest of the app

This is useful when you operate separate customer properties, environments, or internal projects.

Roles

Open Access > Roles to manage reusable role definitions.

Tiny includes:

  • workspace roles that belong to the current workspace
  • starter roles that can be cloned into workspace-specific roles

Roles are the fastest way to keep repeated access patterns consistent across a growing team.

Permissions

Open Access > Permissions for the read-only catalog of predefined permission keys.

Examples used throughout the product include:

  • analytics.manage
  • analytics.report
  • billing.read
  • billing.manage
  • users.invite
  • users.permissions.manage

Use the catalog to understand what a role or membership can actually do before you grant it.

Safe collaboration

Tiny works best when access stays explicit.

Recommended habits:

  • grant the smallest access a teammate needs
  • use roles for repeatable access instead of hand-editing every membership
  • separate billing access from analytics setup access
  • review workspace membership when you rotate ownership or regenerate source keys

When seat limits are reached, Tiny returns seat_limit_reached until the workspace upgrades or frees a seat.
